About 1987 Tudor Submariner jumbo ref 76100

Brief history of Tudor Submariner:

1st generation: 1954--1969

Tudor's 1st submariner was the ref 7922 produced in 1954. Small rose logo at 12 and used the cal 390. Then came the 7923 / 7924 / 7925 and 7928. All were without date.

2nd generation: 1969-1989

Big shield logo and used the ETA cal. 4 digits mdel ref 7016 / 7021 /9401 /9411.

3rd generation: 1989-1999/2000

The no date version was stopped. With date version 5 digits models 79090 was launched in 1989.

Transitional model

About 1984, ref 76100 with date was produced together with the no date version.  Main heatures fo 76100:

1) Lollipop hour hand

2) The date wheel is silver base colour with black numbers. The 79090/79190 models are with white base colour and black numbers.

unpolished leg: check the leg line / braised lines

Though with time / historic marks, the unpolished nature was obvious.
